We are thankful for the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 which says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We are encouraged by the power of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." We know these popular passages well . . . or do we?
