Below you will find five short videos with Pastor Brian Talty where you'll learn more about what it means to be a member at First Christian Church. After watching these videos, please answer the five questions at the bottom of his page. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers - these will simply serve as a basis for conversation in the last step of the process. What drew you to First Christian Church?

What does “membership" mean to you? Did you have a different idea of it before watching these videos?

Faith is not a solo journey. Who are the people that have been instrumental in your journey? How would you describe the community that you “do life” with?

Pastor Brian says that to “be the church,” we need to continue to make it into a verb instead of just a place. To you, what does it look like to “be the church” in this way?

Everything we do as a church is rooted in what we believe. That means that our stated values are dictated by our beliefs. We are biblically directed, we build community, we embrace change, and we encounter the Holy Spirit. Do any of these values resonate with you more than the others?
