Cuba Mission Trip
July 7-14, 2020
Join us for our summer mission trip to Cuba! It will be an experience that will shape the way you see yourself and the world. Students entering their senior year of high school, college students, and adults are invited to come along.
Mission Trip Details
What will we be doing?
We will host a kid’s club (VBS) for children from Matanzas. We will lead crafts, worship together, act out skits, play games, and serve snacks.
- EXPERIENCING CUBA
We will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves into a specific church and see what it looks like to be a Christ follower in Cuba. We will worship with the church, share meals in their homes, and spend a day at the beach with the students from Cuba — playing games and checking out local shops along the shore.
- WORK PROJECTS
While work projects are hard to do in Cuba because of the nature of our trip and the government, we will be helping out the church in Matanzas by doing some projects while VBS is going on. Some of our team will be in VBS, and others will be doing the work projects.
- PRAYING IN HOMES
We will spend an afternoon meeting in homes of people affiliated with the church praying with families.
Where will we stay?
We will stay at a hotel about 10 minutes from the church.
Food will be prepared from the host church with the exception of breakfast which we will eat at our hotel.
How will we get there?
We will meet at First Christian Church and caravan up to Bloomington to fly into Atlanta. From there we will fly on to Cuba.
How much is the trip?
The cost is $1,400 per person and includes all meals, travel, supplies, and lodging.
What fundraisers will we be doing for this trip?
