The Words You Speak

Use your heads as you live and work among outsiders. Don’t miss a trick. Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

As Christians, we are thankful for Room for Doubt to perhaps answer some of our own questions. But we also want to remember that this is a great opportunity to invite unbelievers to ask their questions. Pray for God to pour his love into you as you share your faith. Pray for wisdom and discernment over the words you speak and the attitudes you convey to those who might question your faith. Pray for grace to admit things you do not know and faith to believe that God is bigger than our doubts.
