As Christians, we are called to GO AND SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST — making disciples of all the nations. First Christian Church is doing this by extending its mission around the globe through a number of partnerships and endeavors.
FCC partners with several missionaries in various countries around the world. These missionaries are supported financially by the generosity of the people of FCC.
Specific decisions regarding our partnerships with these missionaries and other endeavors in global missions are made by FCC's Global Missions Team which is made up of individuals from the church and led by the Missions Pastor.
We currently partner with Lynn and Dori Cazier who have served with CMF International since 2003 ministering to the Maasai people of southern Kenya. Through our partnership with the Caziers and their ministry to the Maasai, we have sent numerous mission teams to serve in Kenya — providing much needed medical care, pastoral training, and help with important building projects. In addition, these teams have worked to provide sustainable water sources and means of income. We've also sponsored several medical students who plan to return to their villages after completing their studies to help the people of Kenya.
If you are interested in sharing the love of Jesus with the people of Kenya, contact Pastor BJ Leonard at email@example.com or 217.875.3350.
As the doors open in Cuba, we have had the opportunity to explore the needs of the Christian church in Cuba. We are figuring out how we might be a part of the amazing work God is doing there. The church is growing immensely, but there are challenges due to a lack of resources in Cuba. We pray God will continue to open doors for ministry in Cuba.
After growing up in the area and playing basketball at Millikin University, Lisa discovered her faith and answered a call to serve in Central Asia. While there, she met Ravshan and they now serve together with Athletes in Action seeking to reach people through the medium of sports. Their ministry is a light in the darkness.
Gary and Judy Woods have served in Africa for over 20 years. They started out planting churches among the Maasai in southern Kenya, and they now working with church planters to establish churches in remote parts of Tanzania. As a church that is eager to see new churches planted, FCC is excited to partner with the Woods and CMF in Tanzania.
