Devoted Together - Membership

Membership at First Christian Church

Welcome! We’re glad you are exploring membership at First Christian Church. We encourage you to take your time making this decision – get involved, volunteer, attend a class or a small group. Ask questions, listen to sermons, and participate in worship. When you’re ready, we’ll be more than happy to step you through the membership process.

Membership is a way of identifying yourself with a local body of believers. It is a public pledge to find our role in the body, work alongside other members, and hold each other accountable to faithful Christian living. It is committing yourself to that particular group of Christ-followers and is the place where “where I'm going to give and be given to; where I'll serve and be served; where I'll love and be loved."

Membership at First Christian Church is open to all who are baptized and proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Those who have proclaimed their faith but have not yet been baptized will be baptized by immersion as soon as practical.

If you'd like to become a member of First Christian Church, contact Morgan Arseneau at marseneau@firstdecatur.org or 217.875.3350.
