Take the next step in your Christian walk with Grow Together Wednesday Night. These are groups and classes where you learn more about the Bible while building relationships with others. It is the mission of First Christian Church to develop devoted followers of Jesus Christ by growing and serving together. We also have classes for kids and youth that run concurrently to the adult classes. |
We have classes starting at various times throughout the entire spring semester so that you can jump in at any point. We will have new classes starting on the following kick-off dates: JANUARY 11 Classes run from 6:30pm to 7:45pm We also have yummy "home-cooked" dinners offered on the dates above. These dinners start at 5:45pm. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 age 12 and under, free for age 2 and under, and a $15 maximum for a family. |
We have a variety of classes we are sure you will enjoy. Check out the Spring 2012 classes listed below. All "recommended" and "required" materials can be found at the Grow Together Resource Center located in the Mosaic Café bookstore. Simply pay for the item at the café counter. The Bible in 90 Days |
Join us for a journey through the entire Bible in 90 days at just 12 pages a day. The last time we offered this class more than 25 people completed the reading., and you can, too! This class will provide accountability in meeting your goal and help you connect the dots as we clarify and discuss our discoveries. |

Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts |
Congratulations, you're gifted! If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, God has given you specific gifts, talents, and abilities to use in building up His Church (1 Cor 14:4; Eph 4:11-13). Together we will discover why and how God has gifted you as well as help you plug into a SERVE TOGETHER role in which to use your gifts. |

Discovering God's Will by Andy Stanley |
Being single, divorced or widowed is a unique stage of life that encourages us to seek God's will for our future. However, determining His will can feel like a difficult process. This class will take a biblical look at how everyone can understand and discern God's will for their life. |

Spiritual Parenting |
All parents want children who are well behaved. But good behavior wasn't the focus of Jesus. He desires hearts shaped by active faith and love for God and others. How can parents facilitate this in their kids? This study empowers parents to be the primary nurturers of their children's faith. It also teaches them how to create an environment God can use to work in their children's lives. |

Focus on First |
If you have started attending First Christian Church within the last year, then this is the class for you! We will cover the beliefs, ministries, and staff of First Christian Church as well as give you a tour of the facilities. Consider it the "CliffsNotes" of our church. This class is a prerequisit if you are considering joining as a member. |

James: |
James forces us to face the implications of faith. Be inspired to put your faith into action in practical ways as you get to know the man and the Book of James. Join Beth Moore as she explores such concepts as joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, single-mindedness, the tongue of humility, prayer and more. The format includes large group video teaching and small group discussions. Childcare is offered during the AM session with Grow Together Wednesday Night programming during the PM session. Children must be registered for the AM session only. There will be no childcare the venings of February 22 and 20. |

Foundations for Faith |
Whether you're a "seeker" who is curious about Christianity, a "starter" who is new to Christian faith, or maybe a "returner" who has been away from the church for a while, this class is designed for you. Together we'll discover the foundational beliefs and understandings of the Christian faith as well as provide plenty of space for questions and conversations regarding the Christian faith. |

Jesus in Leviticus: |
Have you ever felt like there must be something missing between the pages of the Old and New Testaments? Do they often feel like two completely different stories? Come with us as we journey into the Biblical holidays of Leviticus 23 and discover the hidden images of Jesus you may have never seen before. You might find out what challah tastes like, feel the bitterness of slavery, hear the sound of the shofar, and maybe even small the sweetness of an etrog. |

The Ministry of Listening & Caring |
As followers of Jesus Christ, one of the greatest gifts we can give to another person is the gift of listening. It conveys caring and acceptance. We will introduce to you some basic listening and caring skills as well as how you may be able to utilize those skills within the church or in the community. |

Reconciling Faith |
How do we live out the Sunday message on Monday morning at work? Is there an interscetion between what we confess and how we live in the workplace? There is. The primary focus of this class will be living out our faith in the workplace and making decisions that are consistent with a biblical worldview. We will discuss real life ethical dilemmas and learn from each other. We will spend some time introducing various ethical systems and see how they can be used to make decisions in business. |
