COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE

2010 will mark the 9th annual community food drive where food is collected on behalf of The Salvation Army and Catholic Charities food pantries. The goal this year is 400,000lbs!!!

Once again, First Christian Church will be a part of the food drive. You can get involved by doing the following:

• We will be collecting food here at First on Sunday, September 26th. Bring non-perishable foods and leave it next to your car where a volunteer will pick it up for you. How easy is that?!
  
• Operators are needed to take phone pledges on Friday, October 8th. You can sign up for a 3-hour shift starting at 6am, 9am, noon and 6pm.
  
• We will be helping Catholic Charities unload and sort the food they receive from the food drive. This will be on Saturday, October 9th from 10am to noon.
