So now that you've visited First, what's next? Here are some great ways to get plugged in so you don't get lost in the crowd:
Focus on First
Focus on First is a one-hour overview of the people, ministries, and campus of First Christian Church. Consider it the "CliffsNotes" of First. Whether you're a first-time guest, been around for a while, or are fully engaged and considering membership - you'll definitely benefit from this class. Children's programming is available during this time. No need to RSVP. For more information, contact Crystal at ckirkman@firstdecatur.org.
Focus on First is a pre-requisite to Explore Membership.
Focus on First will be offered on the following dates in 2012 at 10:50am in Room 105:

Explore Membership
Note: Focus on First is a pre-requisite to Explore Membership. If you are considering membership, please attend one of the dates above.
Christianity was never intended to be lived out in isolation. In fact, the very essence of our Creator is relational. Scripture commands believers to not only commune with one another, but to be encouragers. In this class, you will learn what it means to be a member of First Christian Church and how to identify and utilize your God-given talents to glorify God.
Explore Membership involves (1) an Explore Membership class, (2) meeting one-on-one with an Elder/Pastor, and (3) prayer for you and your family with the Pastors & Elders. It is offered 3 times a year:

Grow Together Wednesday Nights and Sunday Mornings
In the Spring and Fall, we have Grow Together Wednesday Nights with classes for all ages at 6:30pm. And every Sunday we have Grow Together Sunday Mornings with classes that are on-going. Both Wednesday Nights and Sunday Mornings are a great way to grow spiritually as well as build relationships with others at First.
Serve Together
Jesus left us some very clear messages during his time on earth... and most of them revolved around serving. And volunteering is a great way to meet other people! To help you find the perfect ministry to serve, click here for volunteer opportunities both on campus and in the community.
