Glad you are checkin' out First Christian Church! We understand that trying out a church for the first time can be a little nerve-wrecking so here are a few things you might want to know before your first visit:
What to Wear
Anything - formal or casual! You'll see both here.
About the Sermons
You'll find the sermons to be Bible-centered messages that can easily be applied to your life. Read more about our beliefs.
About the Services
Typically, our worship services last a little over an hour. You'll find we have vibrant worship, meaningful sermons, and the coffee at our café awesome. And, we even make space in our service for communion and prayer every week. Nice, huh? We have four identical services: one Saturday nights at 5pm and Sunday mornings at 8, 9:20, and 10:50am.
For the Kids & Teens
We love our kids and youth around here. We have three stellar programs to ensure that your child encounters Christ in a way that's relevant and meaningful for them. Check 'em out!
Birth-PreK
K-5th Grades
Junior & Senior High
About Our Café
You've gotta check out Mosaic Café. Coffee, smoothies, yummy pastries... and if you haven't been to First before, let us know, and your drink's on us. Just stop by the Welcome Center, and they'll give you a gift card.
Where to Park
You are welcome to park anywhere, and we have handicapped parking close to the main entrance. Just in case you come for your first time and see the front part of the lot full, there are always open spots the further you drive into the lot.
Directions
We are located less than half a mile north of Perkins Restaurant at 3350 N MacArthur Road. Here is a handy link to Google Maps!
What if I Have Questions After I’m There?
We have an Welcome Center in the lobby just to the left of the bookstore. There you will find friendly people who can help you with practically any need or question. Here is also a map of our facilities so you know where to go even before your first visit!
What if I Have an Emergency While I'm There?
We have a Parish Nurse on duty every Sunday morning and Saturday night during all four services. She is, also, available to take your blood pressure on a regular basis and can answer any medical questions you may have. If she doesn't have the answer, she can direct you to the right person. No question is too dumb or complicated for Nurse Carol.
